Angus Stewart's Breadalbane Street Studio, Tobermory, Isle of Mull
Tobermory is one of those names which fights above its weight. The place is remarkably well known for so small a village of  900 souls. It does have a great harbour which is a favourite stopping off point for many sailors. It has a good range of shops, restaurants and pubs and a very very fine police force.  My studio is above the harbour.    P.S. Iain the policeman gave me these aerial photographs to use.
There are a number of bed and breakfast houses in this part of upper Tobermory as well as an arts centre. "An Tobar" has events, exhibitions and a cafe and is at the end of the road that I live on. Also Highland Cottage Hotel which is close and the Western Isles Hotel. Many people don't get above the main street - however there is life above sea level.
So if you are in Tobermory and you are looking for ART  then come up the hill and have a look. As I was saying Tobermory has a lot going on for a small village. The Aros Hall often has events on varying from concerts to wrestling. If it's Theatre you are looking for then there the Mull Theatre is about to open an exciting new venue on the outskirts of Tobermory. See here for details. Further round the coast you will find Calgary Farmhouse Hotel which has a gallery. They also have an interesting sculpture walk through a wood above the beach.  Glengorm Castle also has exhibitions in their gallery.
